Our Story

Built for the '06,
by the '06.

When Pastor Donna Spearman arrived in Southeast Fort Wayne, she saw not just what was missing — grocery stores, clinics, jobs — but the belief that this community deserved them. Touch Care Ministries was founded to close that gap, permanently.

"Why do we have to go? Why can't you bring your services to us? So that's what we're doing."
— Pastor Donna Spearman, CEO, Touch Care Ministries

Anchored at Kingdom First Ministries on 1101 McKinnie Avenue, TCM has built a thriving community garden, expanded health services, and launched the most ambitious neighborhood campaign in this zip code's history.

Our Approach

Five Pillars of Holistic
Transformation

We don't treat symptoms — we address root causes. Five interlocking pillars working together to create lasting, generational change in the '06.

Food Security
Eliminating the food desert with an international grocery store, urban gardens, and food preparation education. Fresh, healthy food — finally in the neighborhood.
Maternal & Infant Health
Our onsite health clinic specializes in maternal care. Babies born here face a 15-year shorter life expectancy. We're changing that — right here, in the zip code.
Education & Training
Job placement, interview coaching, financial literacy, entrepreneurship, and mentoring for all ages. Mental health support is woven throughout — because healing and growth go hand in hand. Building economic mobility pathways from within the community.
Hygiene & Basic Needs
Hygiene poverty is a silent crisis. Our affordable laundromat and hygiene resources provide dignity and stability — because basic needs are the foundation of everything else.
Youth & Parenting Programs
Youth programs in partnership with FWCS and local nonprofits, parenting education, and newborn care classes. We invest in the next generation by equipping both children and their parents to thrive.
